The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) has finalized the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a new 36-kilometre elevated Metro corridor connecting Gurugram’s Sector-56 to Pachgaon. Prepared by RITES India, the DPR is set for imminent submission to the Haryana government for approval.
Estimated at approximately ₹10,000 crore, the 28-station project will be financed via state funds, a 10% Central government grant, bank loans, and a ₹1,500 crore contribution from the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC). The route is strategically designed to cut through key economic drivers, including the upcoming Global City and the IMT Manesar industrial cluster.
Designed as a multimodal transit lifeline, the corridor will seamlessly integrate with the Sector-56 Rapid Metro, the Gurugram-Faridabad-Greater Noida RRTS near Sector-61, and the Delhi-Bawal Namo Bharat corridor at Pachgaon. Ultimately, the project will accelerate regional mobility, catalyze industrial growth, and provide a reliable mass transit alternative for Haryana's fast-evolving urban corridors.
