Rail Infrastructure Gets a ₹3,907 Crore Power-Up

The CCEA, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has greenlit two major multi-tracking railway projects covering 145 km across Odisha and Jharkhand. Featuring the doubling of the Paradeep-Haridaspur section and a fourth line for the Rajkharsawan-Dangoaposi route, these initiatives aim to eliminate bottlenecks and boost freight capacity by 44 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Aligned with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, the upgrades will improve connectivity for 1.5 million residents and facilitate easier access to key tourism and industrial hubs.
