After months of administrative delays, the dispute over the location of the Cyber City Metro station is close to resolution, with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) agreeing to shift the entrance of its proposed Cyber City RRTS station. The move clears the way for smoother coordination between the RRTS and the upcoming Metro Phase 2 network.
The RRTS station will remain on HSIIDC land near Shankar Chowk, as outlined in the DPR, with only the orientation of its entry and exit points being adjusted. While NCRTC is developing the RRTS corridor, Gurgaon Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) is responsible for the city’s metro expansion.
Located in Sector 18, the RRTS station will sit directly opposite GMRL’s planned Cyber City Metro station under Phase 2. A senior GMRL official said the agreement now provides the clarity needed to finalise the terminal station design and freeze the alignment. “With NCRTC agreeing to shift its station entrance away from Shankar Chowk, we can proceed confidently. NCRTC will share the detailed layout with HSIIDC,” the official said.
