Tracking Growth: Concord’s ₹53.73 Cr Rail Safety Win

Concord Control Systems Limited has announced that its associate company, Progota India Private Limited, has secured a ₹53.73 crore order from Indian Railways for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of on-board KAVACH 4.0 equipment.

KAVACH 4.0 is India’s indigenous Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system, designed to prevent train collisions, overspeeding, and signal-passing-at-danger (SPAD) incidents. The project is scheduled to be completed within 12 months.

Commenting on the development, Joint Managing Director Gaurav Lath said, “KAVACH 4.0 represents a significant milestone in building a safer and more reliable rail network. This order validates our technological expertise, execution strength, and enduring partnership with Indian Railways. At Concord, we remain committed to strengthening India’s railway safety ecosystem through indigenous and future-ready solutions.”

Joint Managing Director Nitin Jain added, “This continued mandate reinforces our position as a trusted partner in India’s railway safety modernization programme. It underscores our engineering capabilities and paves the way for scaling KAVACH deployment across the Indian Railways network, setting new benchmarks for safety, reliability, and self-reliance.”

This latest order follows earlier KAVACH 4.0 contracts awarded to Concord through Progota, including a ₹19.45 crore field order from South Central Railway in September 2025 and a ₹185.09 crore contract for on-board locomotive equipment in February 2026, both with 12-month execution timelines. These wins highlight Concord’s expanding role in modernizing India’s rail infrastructure and advancing indigenous railway safety technology under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
