Naimish Nagar: The Future of Lucknow, One Township at a Time

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has initiated development of Naimish Nagar, a large-scale model township project along Sitapur Road, covering 1,084 hectares and designed to accommodate around three lakh residents.

Construction has commenced with the establishment of the first site office at Purva village in Bakshi Ka Talab, while land acquisition will follow a consent-based approach in line with the approved Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The project spans 18 villages, including Bhauli, Lakshmipur, Purba Gaon, Sairpur, Farrukhabad, and Kamalabad. The estimated land acquisition cost stands at ₹4,785 crore.

Naimish Nagar will integrate residential, commercial, and public infrastructure, featuring roads, parks, schools, hospitals, and solid waste management systems. LDA Vice-Chairperson Prathamesh Kumar stated that the township is designed to meet rising housing demand while catalyzing growth in industry, education, healthcare, and logistics, with the potential to attract investment and generate employment.

Joint Secretary Sushil Pratap Singh added that villages within the project area will benefit from infrastructure upgrades, including drainage systems, playgrounds, marriage halls, and healthcare centres. Officials anticipate that land deed execution will begin shortly after securing farmers’ consent, paving the way for swift implementation.
