PWD Assam: Bids Open for Silchar Flyover DPR

The Public Works Department (PWD), Assam has issued a tender to engage a consultant for preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed elevated road under Phase-I in Silchar town.

The elevated corridor will extend from Capital Point to Rangirkhari and is envisioned as the longest elevated road in the Barak Valley region. The consultant’s scope will include bridge investigation, data analysis, design of a strengthening scheme, and preparation of construction proposals for three-lane flyovers. The assignment also involves conducting engineering, economic, environmental, and social impact studies.

This initiative is part of the Assam government’s broader plan to develop multiple flyovers across the state, aimed at easing urban traffic and improving infrastructure.

The deadline for bid submission is 15 July 2025.
