ACME Solar has successfully commissioned 52 MW of its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in its renewable energy expansion.
The project is being executed in phases by its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy, with the latest phase adding 8 MW. The electricity generated will be supplied to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA). The project is financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC).
“This wind power project is a key step in ACME Solar’s strategy to grow its renewable energy portfolio,” the company said. Based in Gurugram, ACME Solar currently has an operational capacity of 2,942 MW and an under-construction capacity of 4,578 MW, which includes 15 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
