ADM Solar Power Infrastructure, a leading solar module manufacturer, has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Avener Green to procure 10 MW of solar power under the captive consumption model.
The power will be used to meet the energy requirements of ADM’s solar module manufacturing facilities in Uttar Pradesh. The company currently operates an 850 MW solar module manufacturing unit in Faridabad and is planning to set up a 1,200 MW integrated solar module and cell manufacturing facility in Aligarh, with scope for further expansion.
The 10 MW solar project is expected to be commissioned by April 2026 and is projected to generate 22.42 million units of electricity in its first year of operations. The project is estimated to have a payback period of six to seven years.
The development reflects the growing demand for solar open access solutions in Uttar Pradesh, driven by rapid industrial growth in the state, including the expansion of data centres.
