On October 25, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Arvind’s new state-of-the-art garment manufacturing plant in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Built with an investment of approximately ₹150 crore, this marks the company’s first production facility in the state.
The advanced greenfield unit features cutting-edge automated sewing technology dedicated to manufacturing essential knitwear, directly supporting Arvind’s vertical integration strategy by processing in-house fabric into finished apparel. Beyond driving business growth, the facility will create over 1,000 local jobs—primarily empowering women—and position Arvind to capitalize on expanding opportunities in European and UK markets under recently signed Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
