Fibre52: Shahi Exports’ Billion-Garment Green Goal

Shahi Exports has advanced its sustainability agenda by expanding its integrated knit operations through the adoption of next-generation textile processing technology in partnership with Innovo Fiber.

The initiative involves the industrial-scale deployment of the Fibre52 system across a large production base, marking one of the most significant implementations of eco-friendly textile technology in the apparel sector. This system replaces conventional scouring and bleaching processes that rely on high levels of caustic chemicals and energy-intensive methods, offering instead a low-temperature, caustic-soda-free alternative that reduces environmental impact while maintaining fabric quality.

Certified under globally recognised sustainability frameworks such as ZDHC MRSL and Oeko-Tex, the technology aligns with increasing global demand for cleaner and more responsible supply chains. The move reflects a broader industry shift toward scalable and sustainable manufacturing practices.

By adopting the Fibre52 system, Shahi Exports aims to significantly cut water, energy, and chemical consumption in textile processing, reinforcing its position in global markets where environmental compliance is becoming a key requirement.
