YEIDA to Invest ₹14,000 Crore for Development Near Noida Airport

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced plans to invest ₹14,000 crore over the next five years to acquire 6,065 hectares of land near the upcoming Noida International Airport. This substantial land bank will be used to develop urban centers, industrial clusters, civic amenities, and a logistics park along the Yamuna Expressway. The initiative aims to attract significant investment and boost economic activity in the region.

To secure the required land, YEIDA will acquire 4,076 hectares through a formal land acquisition process, while 1,609 hectares will be purchased directly from farmers. Additionally, 380 hectares of government land will be reclaimed. The targeted areas include 40 villages around the Jewar Airport, with specific focus on locations such as Tappal-Bajna, Tirthali, Karauli Bangar, and Rabupura, among others.

This large-scale acquisition is set to pave the way for significant developments, particularly in sectors like manufacturing and logistics. The region has already seen interest from both global and domestic investors looking to establish their businesses near the strategic Yamuna Expressway corridor. The development of these industrial and urban centers is expected to transform the area into a major investment hub.

In a key move to support these ambitious plans, YEIDA recently signed an agreement with the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO). Under this agreement, HUDCO will provide financial assistance for land acquisition and offer long-term loans for various YEIDA projects. This partnership will also see the development of a habitat center on a 25-acre land parcel and a convention center on 15 acres, both near the Yamuna Expressway.

YEIDA’s comprehensive plan represents a significant effort to enhance the region's infrastructure, aiming to create a thriving economic zone that leverages the strategic location of the Noida International Airport.
