Jindal Stainless has secured a major contract to provide customized stainless steel and specialty low-alloy steel sheets for BrahMos Aerospace’s defense projects. The company will deliver these materials from its plant in Hisar, Haryana, reinforcing its role in India’s defense sector.
Accredited as a qualified vendor by BrahMos Aerospace, Jindal Stainless will support the production of advanced defense systems, aligning with the government’s 'Atmanirbhar' initiative to boost self-reliance in defense manufacturing. This partnership highlights the company’s ability to meet stringent requirements for critical defense applications.
Jindal Stainless recently developed and supplied three mm special alloy steel sheets for the Supersonic Missile-Assisted Release of Torpedo (SMART) system, demonstrating its capability in high-tech defense materials. The company’s extensive experience includes supplying materials for significant projects under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Past contributions from Jindal Stainless include support for India’s lunar mission Chandrayaan, PSLV, missile canisters for various programs, and rocket exhaust units. This new contract further solidifies Jindal Stainless’s position as a key player in supplying critical materials for national defense and space exploration.
