Technip Energies Powers BPCL’s Infrastructure Push

Technip Energies has been awarded two significant contracts by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for expansion projects at the Bina and Mumbai refineries.

The first contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of new polypropylene and butene-1 units at BPCL’s Bina refinery in Madhya Pradesh. These units are designed to produce 550,000 tonnes of polypropylene and 50,000 tonnes of butene-1 annually, supporting BPCL’s ongoing capacity expansion plans.

The second contract involves engineering, procurement, and construction management for a new 3 million tonne per annum Petro Resid Fluidised Catalytic Cracker (PRFCC) unit at BPCL’s Mumbai refinery. Both projects also include the development of auxiliary units, associated offsites, and utility systems.

Technip Energies highlighted its strong local presence and technical expertise, reinforcing its role in advancing India’s energy infrastructure.
