2,500 MW Milestone: GE Vernova Wins Adani HVDC Contract

AESL Projects has awarded a contract to GE Vernova T&D India for the design and construction of a 2,500 MW, ±500 kV high-voltage direct current (HVDC) voltage source converter (VSC) terminal station.

The project comprises two 1,250 MW terminals and will enable the evacuation of renewable power from KPS 3 (Khavda) to South Olpad. Awarded by AESL Projects, a subsidiary of Adani Energy Solutions, the project is a key initiative to strengthen renewable energy transmission infrastructure in the region.

The contract will be executed over multiple years, covering the design, supply, and installation phases. GE Vernova said the project highlights its commitment to supporting India’s clean energy transition and the development of a more resilient and sustainable power transmission network.
