Bondada’s Big Win: ₹627 Cr for Grid-Scale Energy Storage!

Bondada Engineering has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from AP TRANSCO for the development of a large-scale standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

The order is strategically significant for the company, as it provides a stable, long-term annuity-based revenue stream, strengthening revenue visibility, cash flows, and return predictability. Valued at approximately ₹627 crore, the project expands Bondada Engineering’s cumulative BESS portfolio to nearly 1 GWh, reinforcing its position in India’s rapidly growing energy storage sector.

The scope of work includes the development of a 225 MW / 450 MWh standalone BESS under the Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model. The project is scheduled for completion within 18 months from the date of LoA issuance and aligns with India’s broader objectives of grid-scale energy transition and energy storage infrastructure development.
