K2 Infragen Bags ₹262 Cr Indian Railways Deal

K2 Infragen has secured a ₹262 crore contract from Indian Railways to upgrade the traction power system on the Luni–Bhildi section spanning Rajasthan and Gujarat.

The project scope includes the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 2×25 kV AC traction system, along with associated substations, sectioning posts, and SCADA systems. The contract forms part of Indian Railways’ broader electrification and capacity expansion programme.

The order has been awarded to a joint venture between K2 Infragen and Salasar Techno Engineering, with K2 Infragen holding a 74 per cent stake. With this contract, the company’s order book has crossed ₹500 crore, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory.

The project strengthens K2 Infragen’s position in the railway electrification and power transmission segment, as the company continues to expand its footprint while focusing on high-quality and timely execution of large-scale infrastructure projects.
