Hartek Power’s ₹3.53B Solar Surge in Karnataka

Hartek Power has won an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a 280 MW solar power project coupled with an 80 MW/320 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Challakere, in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district.

The contract is valued at Rs 3.53 billion. Hartek’s scope includes the design, engineering, supply, erection, and commissioning of both the solar and BESS facilities, along with one year of operations and maintenance services.

Separately, Hartek recently commissioned a 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan and secured a contract from Power Grid Corporation of India to develop a 400 kV air-insulated substation, which will support the integration of renewable energy into the state’s power grid.
