JSW Energy secures 700 MW solar project with SJVN

JSW Renew Energy (Raj), a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has secured a significant milestone with a 700 MW solar power purchase agreement (PPA) in Rajasthan. The agreement, set at Rs 2.52/KWh over 25 years, aims to bolster the company's renewable energy portfolio, expected to reach 3.5 GW with this project.

JSW Energy, known for its robust presence in power generation and transmission, boasts a total locked-in capacity of 13.9 GW. This includes operational assets of 7.3 GW across thermal, wind, and hydro, with 2.6 GW under construction and a renewable energy pipeline of 4.0 GW.

Further advancing its commitment to sustainability, JSW Energy targets 20 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030. The company aims for carbon neutrality by 2050, aligning its growth with environmental stewardship.

Founded on the commissioning of its first 260 MW thermal power plants in Vijayanagar, Karnataka, JSW Energy has expanded its portfolio to encompass 7,290 MW across thermal, wind, hydel, and solar sectors.
