Ravindra Energy to Invest ₹225 Crore in 62 MW Solar Portfolio

Ravindra Energy Limited (REL) has received 13 Letters of Award (LoAs) from Hubli Electricity Supply Company (HESCOM) for the development, establishment, and operation of a cumulative 62 MW (AC) solar power generation project across Karnataka.

The project will be implemented at 13 HESCOM substations and involves an estimated capital investment of approximately ₹225 crore. Under the arrangement, HESCOM will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with REL at an average tariff of ₹2.95 per unit. The solar projects are expected to be commissioned within 12 months from the date of PPA execution.

The selection of REL as the solar power generator (SPG) has been made under the build, own and operate (BOO) model, aligning with Karnataka’s efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity and strengthen clean energy infrastructure. The projects will contribute to sustainable power generation while supporting HESCOM’s long-term electricity supply objectives, and further reinforce REL’s presence in India’s domestic solar energy sector.
