The Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) is supporting a Rs. 152.56 crore project to create an inclusive storm water drainage system in Sayakha, Bharuch, Gujarat, and Argama, Pune.This initiative aims to reduce urban floods and enhance water management in the fast-changing industrial sector. The Argama, Pune, Maharashtra, and Sayakha, Bharuch, Gujarat, project develops drains, channels, retention ponds, and filtration systems to minimize floods, improve water quality, and link to existing infrastructure. Reduce urban floods, safeguard industrial assets, provide sustainable environments for residents and businesses, and climate-proof Pune's infrastructure. controls stormwater runoff and prevents floods by installing drains, retention ponds, and filtration systems. The project improves water management, protects industrial assets, homes, and infrastructure from floods, promotes Sayakha's economic attractiveness, and strengthens Bharuch's infrastructure against climate-induced catastrophes.

As on December 2023, The project is currently in the stage of being approved currently awaiting approval from the government.
