VRC Constructions India has secured the contract as the lowest bidder for a significant road project in Uttar Pradesh. The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) awarded the project to the company for Rs 613 crore. This project aims to enhance the highway infrastructure by upgrading it to a two-lane road with paved shoulders and four-lane configurations where needed.
The project specifically targets the section from km 61.500 of NH-727B near Nawalpur to km 106.495 of NH-727B near Sikanderpur. This segment is crucial as it marks the end point of the Salempur Bypass and connects to the Sonauli Balia Marg (Old SH-01). The improved road is expected to significantly enhance traffic flow and safety in the region.
The project's scope includes widening and strengthening the existing road, ensuring it meets modern standards. The contract stipulates a completion period of 30 months and will follow the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model. This approach ensures a streamlined process from design through to construction.
Winning this contract is a notable achievement for VRC Constructions, reflecting their competitive edge and capability in handling large-scale infrastructure projects. The upgraded road is anticipated to bring substantial benefits to local communities and facilitate smoother transportation.
