Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for the country’s first Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh. The park is expected to boost textile manufacturing, attract investment, and generate significant employment opportunities, positioning Madhya Pradesh as a key hub in India’s growing textile sector.
During his visit, the Prime Minister also launched two major national initiatives:
‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar’, aimed at advancing women’s health and empowerment
‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’, a campaign focused on improving nutrition and child welfare
Both programs underscore the government’s dual emphasis on industrial development and social welfare.
In addition, the Prime Minister inaugurated the ‘Aadi Seva Parv’, an initiative dedicated to strengthening healthcare, education, nutrition, livelihood, and water conservation services for India’s tribal communities.
This marks Prime Minister Modi’s second visit to Madhya Pradesh on his 75th birthday, following his previous visit in 2022, further reflecting his continued focus on the state’s development across multiple sectors.
