Vega Auto Accessories Pours Rs 150 Crore into Belagavi Expansion

Helmet manufacturer Vega Auto Accessories is planning a capital expenditure of approximately Rs 150 crore for a major new expansion.

The company aims to nearly double its daily helmet production capacity to 60,000 units over the next two to three years. This growth will be anchored by development at a newly acquired 20-acre plot in Belagavi. Chairman Dilip Chandak noted that the capital outlay will proceed independently, without relying on capital from the company's anticipated upcoming initial public offering (IPO). Propelled by surging exports and its motorcycle accessories segment, Vega is targeting a revenue milestone of Rs 750 crore for FY27.

Presently, the company manages six manufacturing facilities, consisting of three units located in Karnataka and three in Uttarakhand.
