ELITe x Toyo Engineering: Building the Future of PET in India

ELITe, the India joint venture between Ester Industries and Loop Industries, has awarded the detailed engineering contract for its Infinite Loop India project to Toyo Engineering India. The decision follows the successful completion of the front-end engineering design (FEED) by Tata Consulting Engineers.

Under the contract, Toyo Engineering India will be responsible for detailed design, procurement engineering, and preparation of technical documentation. The Infinite Loop India manufacturing facility is planned to have an annual production capacity of 70,000 tonnes of PET resin, catering to the rising demand from the packaging and textile industries. The project is on track for completion by the end of 2027.

In addition, the joint venture has secured a multi-year offtake agreement with Nike, which will serve as the anchor customer for the facility. The development represents a key milestone in advancing sustainable PET resin manufacturing in India.
