Inox Solar's ₹4,000 Crore Bet on Odisha's Green Growth

The Odisha government has allocated approximately 78 acres of land to INOXGFL Group's subsidiary, Inox Solar, for the establishment of a large-scale solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Dhenkanal.

The facility will be equipped to produce 4.8 GW of solar cells and 4.8 GW of solar modules, marking a significant step in INOXGFL’s renewable energy expansion efforts. This initiative aligns with India’s clean energy objectives and is expected to drive industrial and economic growth in Odisha.

Earlier this year, INOXGFL committed Rs 4,000 crore to set up the plant, which has received approval from the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA). The project is projected to create over 3,400 jobs, offering a substantial boost to the region's employment and investment.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi voiced his strong support for the project, emphasizing that it not only fosters sustainable industrial development but also positions Odisha as a key player in the green energy sector. The land allocation will enable Inox Solar to expand its solar energy footprint and provide high-quality, competitive manufacturing solutions on a global scale.
