Poondiankuppam-Sattanathapuram Section Private Limited is leading the Four-laning project on the Sattanathapuram to Nagapattinam section of NH-45A in Tamil Nadu, with an impressive investment of 2120.4 Crores. This ambitious initiative encompasses the expansion of a 55.755 km stretch of NH-45A, connecting Sattanathapuram and Nagapattinam. The four-lane highway aims to enhance connectivity not only between the two towns but also with major cities in Tamil Nadu, including Chennai and Trichy. As part of the project, bypasses will be constructed around various villages and towns along the route, contributing to improved traffic flow and safety.

The project is currently under construction, with a targeted completion date set for January 2025. The ongoing work has achieved a notable physical progress of 22% as of June 2023. The anticipated benefits include enhanced connectivity, reduced travel time, increased safety for both motorists and pedestrians, and a significant boost to economic activity in the region. Furthermore, the construction phase is expected to generate job opportunities, contributing to local employment.

Funding for this transformative project is derived from a combination of equity and debt, sourced from both the private sector and the government. Poondiankuppam-Sattanathapuram Section Private Limited, a consortium of experienced infrastructure companies specializing in highway construction, spearheads this endeavor.
