Rusan Pharma Expands API facility in Madhya Pradesh

Rusan Pharma recently inaugurated its cutting-edge Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, marking a strategic move within the Special Economic Zone (SEZ). This state-of-the-art facility boasts an annual production capacity of 400 tonnes of APIs and represents a total investment of up to Rs 300 crore across two phases.

This pivotal addition enables Rusan to significantly augment its existing API capacity, ensuring a consistent and secure supply of vital APIs. This expansion caters to the burgeoning demand for the company's addiction treatment and pain management products both in India and on a global scale. Emphasizing compliance with rigorous international regulatory standards, this API unit is meticulously designed to adhere to the highest quality benchmarks.

Featuring five modular API manufacturing blocks, including dedicated suites for finished API manufacturing, the facility empowers Rusan with complete oversight over product quality. By reducing reliance on imports, the company fortifies its autonomy in ensuring product excellence.

The company strategically leverages the support and subsidies provided by the Madhya Pradesh state government, maximizing operational efficiency through its central location and optimized export processes facilitated by the dry port. This positioning streamlines Rusan's business operations, reinforcing its competitive edge in the market.
