Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from East Coast Railway for setting up a wagon periodical overhaul (POH) workshop at Kantabanji in Odisha, with a capacity to service 200 wagons.
The project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months from the date of commencement and carries an estimated cost of ₹201.23 crore, excluding GST. The new facility will help meet the rising demand for wagon maintenance and contribute to strengthening railway infrastructure in eastern India.
The project aligns with RVNL’s ongoing efforts to enhance railway operational capabilities. Successful execution will further augment East Coast Railway’s maintenance capacity and support more efficient logistics and freight operations across the region.
