The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has issued a letter of intent to Neenjas Electric for the allotment of a 20,000 sq. m. plot in Sector 8D, Greater Noida, for setting up a mega manufacturing facility focused on electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions and solar power banks.
Neenjas Electric plans to invest approximately ₹169 crore in the project, which will manufacture a range of products including onboard and non-onboard EV chargers, IP-rated chargers, AC–DC power converters, and solar energy storage solutions designed for Indian operating conditions. YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh stated that the allotment would significantly strengthen India’s EV charging infrastructure and support the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
The project is expected to generate substantial local employment and position Greater Noida as a key hub for green technology and renewable energy manufacturing. Its strategic proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar is expected to reduce logistics costs and enhance export potential, making the investment attractive for long-term industrial growth. The facility will also contribute to India’s transition toward sustainable energy solutions and self-reliance in EV infrastructure.
