JK Tyre’s Banmore Plant Goes Big: 30,000 Tyres a Day!

JK Tyre & Industries has inaugurated Phase III of its capacity expansion at its Banmore plant in Madhya Pradesh, increasing production capacity to 30,000 passenger car radial (PCR) tyres per day, equivalent to approximately 10.5 million tyres annually.

The expansion forms part of the company’s investment programme exceeding ₹1,000 crore, focused on capacity enhancement and operational modernisation. The inauguration ceremony, held on January 14, 2026, was attended by Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India, along with Raghupati Singhania and Anshuman Singhania of JK Tyre.

The expanded facility is expected to contribute significantly to industrial growth and employment generation in Madhya Pradesh, reinforcing JK Tyre’s long-term commitment to India’s automotive manufacturing ecosystem.

Commenting on the development, Raghupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of JK Tyre & Industries, said the company remains focused on continuous capacity expansion, modernisation, and innovation to meet rising demand in the passenger vehicle segment. “Banmore has been a cornerstone of our passenger car radial journey, and this expansion further strengthens our ability to serve OEMs and consumers with high-quality, sustainable, and future-ready products,” he said.
