Blue Star's Smart Move: Expanding Capacity and Launching Innovative ACs

Blue Star, a prominent manufacturer of air conditioners and commercial refrigeration systems, is aiming to expand its production capacity to 1.8 million units by FY26 through a phased approach. The current capacity stands at 1.4 million units.

As part of its growth strategy, the company is launching 150 new room air conditioner models, including a premium flagship range. Managing Director B Thiagarajan emphasized, "We continue to invest significantly in R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain enhancements to boost our capabilities and capitalize on the rising demand."

Blue Star’s Sri City plant in Andhra Pradesh, which began operations in January 2023, along with its two facilities in Himachal Pradesh, feature state-of-the-art automation and IoT integration. Moreover, the company is offering 40 models of smart Wi-Fi air conditioners, equipped with voice command functionality and a ‘customized sleep’ mode to provide an improved user experience.
