Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy laid the foundation stone for the new building of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) Hyderabad Chapter at Anandnagar Colony. The ceremony was attended by over 200 dignitaries, professionals, and students.
The upcoming five-storey, 11,086 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility will be constructed on a 500 sq. yard plot, with a projected investment of ₹10 crore. Expected to be completed within 15 months, the centre will feature a multi-purpose hall, conference rooms, counselling centres, classrooms, a moot court, and a modern library—each designed to enhance professional development and student learning.
Established in 1974, the Hyderabad Chapter is one of the most active among ICSI’s 74 chapters, serving over 2,000 members and 6,000 students.
Speaking at the event, Minister Reddy underscored the critical role of Company Secretaries in strengthening India’s corporate governance framework. “India is on the path to becoming a $5 trillion economy. In this journey, governance professionals will play a crucial role,” he said. He also encouraged ICSI to continue positioning India as a global leader in intellectual property and corporate governance, highlighting the increasing global demand for skilled Indian professionals.
