MoRTH Invites Bids for Landmark Krishna River Bridge

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has invited bids for the construction of a landmark hybrid cable-stayed and suspension bridge across the Krishna River on National Highway 167K.

The project spans design chainage from km 87.360 to km 88.437 across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. With a total length of 1,077 metres and a main span of 864 metres, the bridge will be executed on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis. The selected contractor will be responsible for comprehensive design, engineering, procurement of materials and construction activities.

The project aims to improve inter-state connectivity, reduce travel time and create a modern infrastructure landmark linking the two states.

Construction is scheduled to be completed within 36 months from the commencement date, followed by a 10-year defect liability and maintenance period from the date of completion.

The deadline for submission of bids is 16 February 2026.
