On 30 August 2025, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a cutting-edge defence equipment and drone manufacturing facility established by Raphe mPhibr in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Noida. The facility also houses India’s largest aircraft engine test bed, marking a major milestone in the country’s aerospace and defence capabilities.
The integrated facility includes:
A state-of-the-art engine test bed, Additive manufacturing centre, Composite polymer production hub, Payload and guided missile drone assembly lines
Calling it “state-of-the-art,” the Defence Minister praised the facility's role in strengthening India's indigenous defence manufacturing ecosystem.
Founded in 2017 with just 10 employees, Raphe mPhibr has grown into a high-tech enterprise with over 600 scientists and engineers. The new facility is expected to generate 5,000 employment opportunities, contributing significantly to the Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) initiative.
