RED-GMM Pfaudler: Stirring India's CBG Revolution

REnergy Dynamics (RED), a leading player in India’s bioenergy sector, has partnered with global technology leader GMM Pfaudler to locally manufacture paddle agitators under the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Commercial production has commenced at a state-of-the-art facility in Gujarat, positioning RED-GMM among the first in the country to supply this critical equipment for compressed biogas (CBG) plants. These agitators are already in operation at major projects, including Reliance Industries’ flagship CBG plant developed by RED.

With an estimated 1,000 CBG plants projected to come up in India over the next three years, the domestic paddle agitator market is expected to reach ₹7,500 crore. GMM Pfaudler’s agitators are also being used in the hydrolysis mixing process at the bamboo-based 2G Ethanol facility of Assam Bio Refinery.

This collaboration reinforces RED’s commitment to advancing indigenous manufacturing, technological excellence, and cost-effective solutions in India’s growing renewable energy ecosystem.
