The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board, chaired by B. R. Naidu, has approved several key initiatives aimed at enhancing the pilgrim experience and strengthening civic infrastructure.
Among the major decisions is the proposal to develop a 20-acre integrated township in Tirupati to streamline accommodation, transportation, and essential services for devotees visiting the temple town. Architects will be appointed to begin the planning and design process for the comprehensive facility. The board also approved the construction of a Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Mumbai’s Bandra area at an estimated cost of ₹14.40 crore.
In the healthcare sector, the board sanctioned an additional expenditure of ₹48 crore to upgrade the Sri Padmavati Children’s Heart Centre in Tirupati with modern medical infrastructure. Other approvals include the second phase of redevelopment of the Sri Siddheswara Swamy temple at Talakona, with an outlay of ₹14.10 crore, and the development of a new pilgrim accommodation complex at the Veeranjaneya Swamy temple in Kondagattu, Jagtial district.
These initiatives underscore TTD’s continued commitment to improving religious, civic, and healthcare facilities for devotees.
