The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has inaugurated two new flyovers at Singhpura and McD crossings along the Chandigarh-Zirakpur-Derabassi highway, offering significant relief to travelers.
Constructed at a cost of Rs 48 crore, these dual carriageway flyovers are now fully operational, ensuring a smoother flow of traffic. Additionally, the Bankarpur flyover, which is 70 percent complete, is expected to be ready by June.
This development follows the completion of a flyover at the Chandigarh-Zirakpur border in December 2022, which had already helped ease traffic congestion. With these new flyovers, travel time has been shortened, and the bottlenecks at Singhpura and McD crossings have been effectively resolved.
