Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has inaugurated Avaada Group's 1.5 GW solar module manufacturing gigafactory in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for Avaada Electro's upcoming 5 GW integrated solar module manufacturing unit at Ecotech, Greater Noida. The 1.5 GW photovoltaic (PV) module facility in Dadri was constructed in just 3.5 months and is now fully operational, producing advanced TOPCon N-Type bifacial glass-to-glass PV modules. These modules incorporate multi-busbar configurations (16 to 24 busbars) to maximize efficiency.
The facility boasts a production capacity of 1.2 GW for M10 modules and 1.5 GW for G12 modules, manufacturing 5,800 modules daily. Avaada's upcoming 5 GW integrated facility in Greater Noida, spanning over 50 acres, will produce high-efficiency solar cells on an industrial scale. This project is expected to generate over 3,000 job opportunities and secure international certifications such as BIS, IEC, and UL.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized, "This initiative not only enhances our state's role in renewable energy but also fosters employment and contributes to our vision of a USD 1 trillion economy."
