SEPC Bags ₹182 Crore Contract for Water Supply Project in Bihar

SEPC has secured a work order worth ₹182.56 crore from the Irrigation Division of Bhabua in Bihar for a major water supply project. This turnkey contract involves a comprehensive range of services, including detailed survey and investigation, design, supply of materials, labor, equipment, construction, and installation. The project is to be completed within 12 months, followed by a three-month trial run.

The scope of work also includes testing and commissioning of the project. Once operational, SEPC will be responsible for the comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of the system for a period of 60 months. This extended maintenance period ensures the long-term reliability and efficiency of the water supply infrastructure.

The project is part of the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan, an initiative aimed at enhancing access to drinking water in Bhabhua and Mohania towns. SEPC’s role includes utilizing surface water to meet the drinking water needs of these towns, addressing critical water supply challenges in the region.

SEPC, known for its expertise in multi-disciplinary design, engineering, procurement, construction, and project management, will oversee the entire execution process. This contract highlights SEPC’s capability to handle complex, large-scale projects with a focus on delivering comprehensive solutions.
