Infosys has inaugurated its Centre for Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology at its Hubballi Development Centre, as part of the global Infosys Living Labs network.
The centre was jointly launched by Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge and Industries Minister MB Patil, reinforcing the state government’s Beyond Bengaluru initiative to decentralize IT growth. Minister Kharge highlighted Hubballi’s emergence as a growing innovation hub, home to over 125 startups and ₹3,500 crore in IT exports. Minister Patil emphasized efforts to create innovation corridors in cities such as Mysuru, Mangaluru, and Belagavi.
The Hubballi centre will focus on delivering next-generation digital solutions across sectors including manufacturing, retail, finance, and healthcare. It is expected to boost regional employment, drive innovation, and solidify Hubballi’s role as a key digital hub in North Karnataka.
Infosys Executive Vice President Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar noted that the Living Labs initiative is designed to deliver AI-powered solutions globally, with the Hubballi centre specializing in AI, cloud computing, SAP, and related technologies.
