NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) has commenced commercial operations of a 25 MW solar power project in Bhuj, Gujarat, effective September 3, 2025, marking a continued expansion of its renewable energy footprint.
With this addition, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group has reached 7,272.575 MW, reinforcing its position as a key contributor to India’s clean energy transition. The 25 MW unit is part of a larger 150 MW solar initiative developed by Ayana Renewable Power Four, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power. Ayana is wholly owned by ONGC NTPC Green Energy, a joint venture between ONGC and NTPC.
This project reflects NGEL’s ongoing commitment to enhancing sustainable energy infrastructure and contributes to Gujarat’s growing status as a renewable energy hub. The collaboration between major energy sector stakeholders underscores efforts to scale up solar capacity and support India’s national clean energy targets.
