JHI Breaks Ground: A ₹200 Crore Milestone in Chennai

Jaya Hind Industries (JHI) has launched the expansion of its aluminium die-casting manufacturing facility in Chennai with a ground-breaking ceremony.

Located in Thiruvallur district, the expansion involves an investment of ₹200 crore to enhance the plant’s production capacity. The upgraded facility will feature high-pressure die-casting machines ranging from 1,400 to 4,400 tonnes, enabling the manufacture of a diverse range of components, including internal combustion engine parts, electric vehicle (EV) components, and large structural castings. A new 13,000 sq. m shed will be added to house advanced machinery and expanded machining operations. With an emphasis on vertical integration, the plant will incorporate machining, heat treatment, and powder coating processes.

The expansion is driven by a strong order pipeline, serving both domestic and international markets, including global clients such as Cummins and Generac, as well as local OEMs like TVS Motor Company. Once completed, the facility’s production capacity is expected to reach approximately 20,000 tonnes per year.
