REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd. (RECPDCL), acting as the bid process coordinator, has awarded Letters of Intent (LoIs) to Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) and G R Infraprojects Ltd. (GRIL) for two interstate transmission system (ISTS) projects under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework.
As per stock exchange disclosures dated 27 August 2025, PGCIL has secured the project titled “Transmission System Strengthening at Davanagere for Integration of Renewable Energy (RE) Generation”, to be executed via the special purpose vehicle (SPV) Davanagere Power Transmission. PGCIL was selected from among four qualified bidders.
GRIL emerged as the successful bidder for the project “Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from RE Projects in Rajgarh (1,500 MW) SEZ – Phase III and Neemuch (1,000 MW) SEZ – Phase II”, which will be implemented through the SPV Rajgarh Neemuch Transmission. This project attracted interest from seven bidders during the bidding process.
RECPDCL is expected to formally transfer the respective SPVs to the winning developers in the coming weeks, enabling project execution to commence.
